When “Tolerance” is truly virtue signalling compensation

Academia and the culture surrounding it is known for its valuation of tolerance. That is to say, within academic circles — and educated circles in general — the notion of tolerance as a virtue is quite predominant. Academia is all-inclusive: no demographic is excluded. 

That is at least what is preached.
