What are the attractions of determinism?

I have never felt the slightest attraction to determinism — the arguments for never persuaded me, and I never experienced the slightest, fleeting doubt that I possess free will in a robust form that cannot be explained away as merely illusory or as compatible with determinism. (Perhaps a position that we could call “anti-compatibilism” or “anti-compatibilist” needs to be defined within the free will debate if it hasn’t already been defined.)
